Congratulations – you’re getting married!
The lovely thing about weddings and civil partnerships now is that they do not have to be tied to traditional venues or words – unless that’s what you’ve always wanted, of course. It’s your wedding and we can create a ceremony that expresses you as a couple.
The photos on this page are from two of my nieces’ weddings - as you can see, they are as different as the two couples, even though the women are sisters! One was in a beautiful registry office, followed by a trip on the London tube to a pub for drinks and food; the other was on the beach in Thailand. Their incredible happiness shines out!
That is what makes my job so amazing. Every ceremony is unique. Whether you’re exchanging your bespoke vows in a forest clearing, on a beach, in a stately home or a hotel, what passes between you and witnessed by your friends and families has never taken place before. You’ll want everything to go smoothly - but with a room full of love, it doesn’t really matter if something goes a little bit wrong, that’s another memory created.

Your vow renewal
You’ve been through some years together, and you still want to shout to the world about how you feel towards one another? That’s something to celebrate.
Couples choose a vow renewal for many reasons – perhaps you didn’t have the wedding you really wanted the first time round; perhaps there are people important in your lives who were not there the first time around; perhaps it’s a special anniversary. Whatever the reasons, your ceremony is unique to you. It can take place wherever you like, as there are no legal restrictions this time round. Are you proud of your garden? Have it there!
